Sarah Dennison Named Head Varsity Field Hockey Coach
Mercy Athletics is proud to announce that Sarah Dennison has been named the Head Coach for the Varsity Field Hockey team for the 2019 season. Sarah graduated from The John Carroll School where she was a three-season athlete in Field Hockey, Indoor Track and Field, and Lacrosse. Sarah graduated from West Chester University 2015 with a B.S. in liberal arts studies with a concentration in communication studies and graphic design. She also played Lacrosse at West Chester where she was a standout on attack. Sarah then went on to receive her Masters Degree in Kinesiology from McDaniel College in 2019 and was a graduate assistant for the McDaniel Women’s Lacrosse team.
Mercy’s Athletic Director Nick Gill noted, "This is truly an exciting time for Magic Athletics. Having Sarah take over the Field Hockey program, along with the completion of our new AstroTurf stadium, will see our field hockey team rise to new heights. Sarah’s experience coaching athletics at a high level will be instrumental in the continued growth of our field hockey program as a whole.”
