7th Graders
Thinking about getting started on your high school search process early? Mercy welcomes current 7th graders to join us for special events in the spring of 2019.
7th Grade Reception
We would like to invite you and your family to join us at a Welcome Reception for the Class of 2024 on April 25th, 2019 from 4:30 to 6:00 p.m. in Mercy's beautiful Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Auditorium. You'll see a brief presentation about all Mercy has to offer, learn about the fall admissions process, and meet some of our students, faculty, and staff members.
Registration for this event is now CLOSED.
7th Grade Campus Visiting
7th graders, are you excited about high school? Ready to get started on the search process? Our 7th grade visiting days are a great way to check out all there is to love about Mercy in the spring of your 7th grade year! 7th graders may want to get a sneak preview of their 8th grade visiting day experience by attending a Campus Visiting Day. They will spend a full school day observing Mercy's classes in action as a group, and get to eat lunch with Mercy students in our dining hall.
Registration for this event is now open. 7th grade visiting will begin in the Spring. However, all 8th grade applicants must visit in the fall of their 8th grade year as part of the application process. Please check our website in August for 8th grade visiting, which is when registration will open; visiting will run from September to December.
Parents and students are also always welcome to contact the Admissions Team at admissions@mercyhighschool.com to schedule an individual tour, or call us at 410-433-8880 ext. 214 to learn more about the admissions process and opportunities we offer! 7th Grade events are not required for admission to Mercy.
FAQs
We are located at 1300 E. Northern Parkway, Baltimore, MD 21239. Please park in our main parking lot and enter using our main entrance.
Arrive at 7:45 a.m. for check in and plan to leave at 3:10 p.m. Parents, you may wait at the entrance when picking students up in the afternoon.
Parents are not required to stay, although the Admissions Team is happy to schedule individual tours with parents or answer any questions you may have over the phone or via email - don't hesitate to get in touch! Since you are just beginning your school search, there is plenty of time to attend our Fall 2019 events here at Mercy, including school fairs, Open House, Magic Moment information sessions, and more.
If your school has a uniform, please wear it to your visit. If your school does not have uniforms, please dress in nice and appropriate--but comfortable--clothes. This means dress pants or skirts and nice tops. (No jeans, please.)
Your questions! You do not need to bring any application materials or test scores - just relax and enjoy your day. You may have a cell phone with you during the day, but please ensure that it is off and put away until the end of the day. Oh, and lunch is on us!
This day is intended as a "sneak preview" of your individual 8th grade visiting day in the fall, which we require for all students. As a group, you will observe 8 of our classes in action and will have lunch in our Dining Hall with Mercy students. While it is not a "traditional" visiting day (you'll experience this as an 8th grade student), it's a great way to get a broad overview of all that Mercy has to offer!
In most cases, please listen to WBAL for a specific announcement about Mercy High School on days when inclement weather threatens. If we are closed, the Admissions Office will contact you ASAP to help you reschedule your day. If we are delayed, you are welcome to attend your day as scheduled, or to reschedule. Just let us know!
For 7th grade students, the high school process is just beginning! Simply take in all of the information you receive during your visit, and be sure to attend Open House and an 8th grade visiting day (individual day with a current student) in Fall 2019.
